Rag rugs, table linens, and designer totes from The Weavery are woven on wooden hand looms
in the Bluegrass Kentucky studio of designer/weaver Harriet Giles. 

As in 19th century America, fabric is cut into strips, wound onto shuttles, and interwoven with
a groundwork of loom-controlled threads.

Distinguishing my rugs from imported and mass-produced floor coverings are the thoughtful use of color and distinctive design that each rug exhibits with clarity.   The use of American-made materials ensures that your rug will be durable and colorfast.  The care each weaver takes in crafting a rug is obvious in the firm weave, straight edges, and refined appearance.    We offer rugs that are a visual delight and that will be serviceable for many years.
